English is not my native language, so please, bear with me.
Our refrigerator is a side by side refrigerator, and one of it’s side have a small internal tray that can be accessed by the it's outer side, like this.
My younger sister is really messy and sloppy with pretty much everything. She has this annoying habit of leaving one HUGE glass FULL (like, almost slipping out) of water inside that tray. That glass plus the jar full of water leaves a small space for my to-go bottle of water (We live somewhere really hot, and it's summer, so I take that bottle everywhere I go) and some other things that are used often. It's a bit frustrating, but we (me and mother) are kinda tired of speaking with her for nothing, so we leave at that.
But other night it was too much. She left TWO GIGANTIC gasses full os water in the fridge, and it was occupying ALL THE FREAKING SPACE IN THE FREAKING TRAY. WTF? Why did she need two glasses? She could drink one glass and then refill her glass with the water in the jar. But no!!!!!! She HAD to leave the two cups, and with that I lost my small and sweet spot in the tray. No cold water for me. :(
I went through the refrigerator and saw the vinegar. I took it and spilled some (not much, just a little, so the smell wouldn't alert her) in one of her glasses and left the vinegar near it, so it may look that it was an "accident".
That was three night ago. I haven't seen any cups in the tray since the day after.
Hope she learned the lesson.
