I bought low-fat paneer, sliced it and left it to marinate overnight to make tikka today. I noticed paneer was tough, almost like cutting butter just out of the refrigerator. I read up later that it is always advised to soften paneer by soaking it in water before cutting and marinating it. My 'hard' paneer slices are already marinating in spices overnight in the refrigerator. Is there a way I can soften paneer now?
