Cost estimates of kitchen renovation? HomeImprovement

Hey All,

I'm hoping to get some ideas / concepts before I have a few contractors come out for quotes and was hoping for the expertise of reddit!

I am looking at doing a kitchen remodel for a modest cost; I just want to be sure I'm not severely underestimating the cost of what it is I'm trying to accomplish.

All of this is rip and replace; I am looking at ripping out old cabinets and putting in new. Nothing fancy or expensive, just value / nice without being exorbitantly expensive. I'm estimating ~5k installed.

installing an island (kitchen is very large); nothing special , no appliances or sink or rewiring, just an island for some surface area for cooking etc. Estimating....500-1000$?

countertops! A mid-range quality (nothing exotic or crazy) granite; I'm looking at covering ~40-50sq. ft of counter tops (2.5ft x 6ft for the island), (26 inches x ~10feet section) (26 inches x 6ft section minus overlap from other). I'm estimating this to be around 3000-4000 installed given the sq. footage and quality i'm expecting.

Appliances, this is the easiest as I can actually get definitive numbers, and I am planning on buying Memorial weekend / open-box to mitigate cost a little bit; 3000-4000 for a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven / range, updated sink.

Total 'Estimate' for cabinetry, island, appliances, counters, labor: 12000-15000. I completely understand many of these things range, and for reference this is Raleigh, North Carolina. Is this feasible given the scope of work, or I am delusional and not accounting for other items that I should anticipate? I won't be moving any electrical / plumbing, no tearing out walls, just basically swapping out appliances, cabinets and countertops.

Thanks!
