Hello smartguys,
Almost two months ago I purchased a new refrigerator from my local Best Buy, which was delivered by a 3rd party service hired by BB. The delivery service refused to take the doors off of my cherry new ice box, which resulted in damage to both the fridge and my entryway. Best Buy was very quick to get a different delivery crew out to replace the fridge as well as get me in contact with their 3rd party insurance claims department, however the 3rd party insurance department has been unresponsive, as they are also contracting the repair work to another company with very liberal vacation policies and who's email service appears to auto-delete any communication if it includes details about the damage. I'm aware they are all giving me the run around.
After several calls to Best Buy customer support, Best Buy's 3rd party insurance service, and the 3rd parties' 3rd party, I am no closer to getting the damage to my home repaired.
In preparation to sue for damages in small claims court I've received 2 different repair quotes from local contractors, but I'm unsure who to list as the defendant. Who am I taking to court; Best Buy, the owner of the local Best Buy store, the delivery service, the insurance company, D. All of the above?
