Nutrient paste dispenser with Berries RimWorld

I reach a pop where I cannot cook fast enough for my colonies/pets.

I read Nutrient Paste Dispenser with Berries do not cause a debuff, so I decide to try it.

I have 3 hoppers (correctly placed) and I put the NPD outside my refrigerator. I set critical on the hopper and important inside the refrigerator. The NPD is connected to electricity.

My colonies is taking the berries to eat from the hopper and the refrigerator. What am I missing here.

Another Q, will my warden/doctor take food from the NPD to the patients/prisoners/pets?
