Soylent (2.0 from Jan. to Feb., 1.5 from Mar. to Apr.) for breakfast has been doing me well. When I do it reliably, my body seems to function better overall.
With 1.5, I've been putting it through a NutriBullet to really mix the powder in well. I'm doing it with coffee right now; that is, I scooped a few coffee grounds in with the powder before blending. It's pretty alright.
My impressions on taste: 2.0 tastes like liquid graham cracker, and 1.5 tastes like unsweetened cookie dough. 500 calories of 1.5 with about one tablespoon of coffee tastes like bitter coffee cookie dough. I'm not a picky eater, so I have no issues with the taste.
My complaints: My first shipment of 2.0 did not have seals on them while my second one did. The second one also had some grit in it that the first one did not. I was okay drinking both shipments, but the lack of consistency is a little worrying.
Why do the 1.5 packets have an expiration date one month after shipping? Since I don't want to subsist purely on Soylent, I've been putting the packets in my refrigerator under the assumption that they will keep longer.
TL:DR: Soylent good. Would recommend to be standard government food ration in socialist society.
