LG Refrigerator not cooling HELP! appliancerepair

LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator LDC22720

We have had this refrigerator for about five and a half years. The other day the refrigerator stopped cooling and the lights on the temperature setting panel for the fridge are not on. The interior lights inside the fridge are working. The freezer is working, but the numbers on the temperature panel for the freezer are lit up on 6 and 7. I took the back panel off, vacuumed out and cleaned the coils and fan. Plugged it back in and it worked for about a day then stopped again. My husband took apart the freezer and took off the back panel inside the freezer. There is no ice build up or anything and the parts there are working. The freezer is cold and making ice. We called LG and they said that the major parts (compressor, evaporator, etc) are still under warranty and would be free to replace but it would cost between $325-$375 for their tech to come out and do the repair. Any ideas on what the problem could be???
