First time poster here so please be gentle. Me and the OH are having a bit of a cruddy month especially financially so the last thing we wanted was our fridge freezer to stop working properly but it has... GREAT!
I'm hoping you guys can help narrow down the issue it's a Indesit T IN C 425 AA UK and doesn't have frost free function so we have to manually defrost it which we have very recently done thinking this might be the cause but it didn't help.
Basically the fridge and freezer is warm, I've took a look at the back coils and vacuumed them but they weren't really that dirty anyway which also didn't help. But after switching it on it had been on for around 24hours and the fridge and freezer was cold again YAY! But it didn't last long and after around 3 hours the fridge and freezer was warm again.
The freezer still freezes but it's just warmer than usual. I'm thinking maybe it's the thermostat but I'm worried about buying a new one as they cost around £50 and if it doesn't fix it will be a waste.
I spoke to a refrigerator engineer who seemed to reckon it was a leak with the gas and wasn't fixable but I'm not sure I believe him but at the same time I don't want to waste money.
If anyone can give me a helping hand here I'd really appreciate it, don't know where else to turn!
