Kenmore refrigerator not cold, freezer is cold - bought used Appliances

So we bought a used refrigerator from Habitat for Humanity Restore (we still have two weeks to take it back). It's a Kenmore, but I'm not sure where to find the model name/number. It's older - basic freezer on top, fridge on bottom model. Nothing fancy.

The seals are fine. We've turned up the fridge to its coldest setting, and it's just barely keeping things above room temperature. The freezer is working wonderfully.

This older model has coils in the back, and we've made sure to give the fridge an inch of space on all sides, the back, and at the top. I did notice this morning that in the top back of the fridge, there is a part that has styrofoam inside of it. Whoever had it before us poked at it somewhat - there is one chunk of the styrofoam missing. I would say it's about 85% intact. I read online that this would affect moisture levels, but not the temperature. Is this true?

What are some solutions I can try before returning the fridge. We only spent $100 on it, so I don't want to sink much money into it. Would it be better to just take it back, use the credit for other things at the Restore, and shell out the money for a new fridge elsewhere? I would like to try and repair if possible though.
