Hi all!
I have a week long camping trip coming up next month, and I'm running the kitchen part of the camp for approximately 10-12 people. I don't have to provide every meal, but we agreed probably one camp meal a day (this is at a regional burning man event, so people will otherwise be practicing "radical self-reliance" aka bring what you need so you don't starve).
I've been watching this subreddit for a while, hoping to do my own meal prep once I move into my new house later this summer, but it dawned on me that you guys might have some great ideas for food that I could make the day before I leave that could last 4-5 days at refrigerator temperature (coolers with continuous ice supply) and also either not need to be reheated, or easily reheated over a propane cookstove (or an actual campfire).
My first thought was that the egg + ingredient muffins might actually be a really great way to provide an easy protein boost to my campmates in the morning. I also am totally going to make those oatmeal energy balls someone posted a few days ago.
Anyone have any ideas? Have any of you meal prepped for something like this??
Thanks ahead of time!
