I've been renting this house for 5+ years and everything has been great. Just recently the refrigerator/freezer started acting up. The landlord left it here for my use when I moved in but was pretty clear if it breaks, it breaks.
The lease says:
"Tenant shall be responsible for replacing and/or repairing the refrigerator unit if/when it does not work or becomes broken."
I obviously need a working fridge. My questions are: A) if I have this one fixed, am I still expected to leave it here if/when I move? B) if I buy a new one to replace this one, am I required to leave it (the new one) if/when I move? C) If I buy a new one, I presume I should let the landlord make the decision on what to do with the old one?
The relationship between us seems to be pretty good. Im just a little unclear on my responsibility.
