So, I did the dumb thing and introduced products without patch testing first. Big mistake. My skin did not like it--super red, super dry, just horrible. So I took out all the new stuff and decided to just use my cleanser (Avene Cleanance) and a moisturizer. I decided to purchase the Simple Moisturizer because, hey, claims of simplicity (and I am pretty sure I am starting to have sensitive skin along with dryness and acne, hooray /s).
Thing is, when I put the moisturizer on, for a few moments it burns around my mouth and some other areas of my lower face (cheeks and such; it is all central to the center part of my face). Nothing too bad (read: I am not near tears), but it is just an uncomfortable sensation that makes me worry I am doing some kind of damage. Should I hold off on it until my skin heals? If so, what should I use? I do have aloe vera in the refrigerator, but I am not sure that will help my (stupidly) mistreated skin.
