My Mother lets her dog pee on the floor multiple times every day Advice

Ever since my family has had our current dog (yorkie) my mother has never once let her outside to do her business. She uses puppy training pads and places them on the floor of our laundry room. The dog is 12 years old by the way. This has been going on since she was a few weeks old. She only makes it correctly on the pad probably 15% of the time. The rest of the time the dog will pee either on the floor next to the pads or on the edge of them which then runs underneath them and makes a gigantic mess. My mother seems to not care whatsoever how ever many times she has to clean up her urine every day, which is usually about 5 times. For years I have expressed my disgust about this and how she needs to bring her outside to use the restroom and whenever I bring it up she will be irate at me and say it is not my business and I shouldn't care because I am not the one cleaning it up. Not only does the dog pee on the floor the majority of the time in the laundry room, she also steps directly in her urine and tracks it all over the house. If you brought a black light into our house it would light up like the Fourth of July. All over the sofa, floor, literally everywhere her dog walks she tracks the urine with her feet which are usually very long with hair because my mother only gets her cut so often and never cuts it short enough to where this isn't a problem.

This problem has effected me so much that when I come to visit my family from college I now stay in a separate house on my parents property. Am I wrong to make such a big deal out of this? I have tried talking to my mother seriously about this, and like I said earlier she will get EXTREMELY mad if I bring it up and will tell me to shut up or leave. My father advises to not bring it up either because he doesn't want to hear the argument. I don't know what I should do or if this is something that I will just have to deal with. I have a girlfriend that stays with me back in my college town and she has yet to meet my parents. I have told her that my mother does what she does and she was disgusted. I don't even want to bring my own girlfriend home to meet my parents because I am so embarrassed that we will have to dodge puddles of piss if we want to get something out of the refrigerator in the laundry room or just the fact that everywhere my dog walks there are pee foot prints.

How should I go about dealing with this situation?
