It is HOT.
The other day, my air conditioner quit working. I spend most of my free time sitting in my room playing games on a computer that doubles as a low-end space heater, so not having AC in the summer is a threat to my way of life. I went out and bought a $20 desk fan to use until I can afford for someone to fix my magic temperature box, because I can only take off so many clothes.
I had the bright idea of placing a huge bowl of ice in front of my new fan so it would blow colder air on me. My fridge makes ice and stores it in an ice tray in the freezer, like I assume most refrigerators do. So yesterday I filled up my bowl and enjoyed a slightly less blistering atmosphere.
Of course, the ice melted. Before I went to sleep last night, I decided I could refreeze the water and use it again today. So I took my big bowl of Adam's ale and dumped it right into my ice tray.
TIL it's kinda hard to make a smoothie with a frozen brick.
