Down the rabbit hole and other cliches. offmychest

Do you ever feel like you aren't good enough? Like you haven't achieved enough? That your car isn't new enough, where you live isn't big enough? Have you ever looked around you, at your peers and family and wondered; how the hell am I such a failure?

We all do. Yep. All of us. The guy in the condo the size of a refrigerator box who drives that 3 wheeled car from Mr. Bean has the same thoughts as the guy in a 2017 self-driving robocar, living in a mansion “It isn't good enough”. “I need more”. “I'd be happier with more x,y,z”

And then you die.

And you spent your entire life wanting. Wanting. Wanting a bigger this, or a shinier that, or a more expensive thing. Never realizing it doesn't really matter. We're just a blip in time, a nothing of a nothing inside a nothing. A grain of sand in an infinite beach. Live now. Stop chasing money. Stop chasing materialism, live for today. Life is the envy of the dead.

“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead. “
