Hi, information in flair. I am getting back on the bandwagon after jumping off on Easter and never getting back on. I had lost 10 pounds and gained it all back.
I originally was losing weight to feel more comfortable as I move to New Hampshire to work on a mountain as meteorologist intern. I leave in a week, so I have obviously failed to meet my goals.
That doesn't mean I stop though. No, I want to work even harder, especially as I make this move. I feel that such a large change in scenery and environment can allow me to be who I have always wanted to be, a fresh start. I plan on hiking and doing yoga more.
I am super worried about food, as it is my first time being totally self reliant. I need help making a meal plan that is cheap, vegetarian (with fish), and for now requires little refrigeration and prep. I really have no idea what the kitchen situation is like in the observatory. I don't know how much room I will have in the refrigerator or what prep areas I will have. I am provided dinners on the mountain.
I really am for a loss here. I don't have any clue how to purchase food for 8 days at a time (the time I will be on the mountain at a time) and have it stay healthy and cheap. I have a knack for buying expensive organic, fad foods, which won't be sustainable since I am budgeting for myself without a meal plan from school or money from my parents for the first time.
Oh god, I am in way over my head and I'm panicking. Please help!
