My 1 year anniversary is next week so my wife and I are very excited to pull the anniversary cake out of the freezer. What is the best way to defrost it? I'm worried about the time frame to defrost so that it can be ready for a dinner I'm planning for the wife. It's been sitting at the top of the freezer of our refrigerator (not a deep freezer). I don't think it was preserved correctly either but I'm going to hope for the best.
