Excessive daytime sleepiness and adult ADHD? ADHD

Hi there. I (22 yo female) have not been officially diagnosed with ADHD, but a couple people have mentioned that I display some symptoms. I have always been an exceptional student without any behavioral issues, but I constantly misplace things (found my cell phone in the refrigerator last week...), have a very animated personality, cannot stand still (have always rocked and paced since I was little), and have a ton of trouble paying attention to directions, lectures, etc. I frequently get lost in my own thoughts and "zone out". My dad is a doctor and thinks it's absurd to suggest ADHD as a possibility since I have never had any issues in school or life in general, but I also think he has a lot of the same problems I do.

My biggest health complaint as of the last few years has been extreme sleepiness. I have no problem sleeping for 10+ hours straight--falling and staying asleep is not an issue. However, I can never stay awake during lectures or if I am driving my car for long distances, even if I got a lot of sleep the night before. I also have really vivid, typically negative dreams every time I sleep. I take prozac and wellbutrin for my depression so I thought maybe this is what causes the dreams but I don't know. I exercise regularly, am a normal weight, and do not snore, so I feel like this probably isn't sleep apnea. I am trying to get a sleep study done to be sure. I used to think maybe this was narcolepsy, but now I am wondering if this could just be a symptom of ADHD??

I am so conflicted because I feel like ADHD diagnoses are rarely black and white, and I do not want to give myself a label or take powerful drugs for something that I do not "have", especially since no one in my childhood (e.g., teachers) ever mentioned that they saw symptoms . Any insight would be much appreciated!
