I knew my dad's girlfriend's hamster couldn't resist using that damn wheel. It made so much noise. When I accidentally lost the hamster I put the wheel out by the refrigerator because that's where my nice dog helped me track her to. I relaxed in another room for a while, and soon enough I heard that wheel again. I took a pan lid and walked along the side and trapped the runaway hamster between the wheel with it. That's how it went down a few years ago. Hope this tip helps someone
