how do I pickle my own cucumbers ketorecipes

I really want to take some probiotic foods and found I could just eat pickles.

I have organic cucumbers and some pink himalayan sea salt. I don't wish to use vinegar in my prep.

Can I still get the benefits of probiotics if I do the following?

  • Boil water and sea salt to make a brine
  • Slice cucumbers and place into jar
  • Pour the brine to fill the jar (do I do this whilst it's still boiling hot or cold?)
  • Leave them to cool and place in refrigerator overnight

Will this give me the probiotics I require?
