I have expired meat in a refrigerator that I can't throw out just yet. Is other food and general cleanliness of the fridge okay if I continue to store it in there for a while? Cooking

I'm guessing that due to it being in the fridge, it won't age to the point where it would cause airborne germs, would just obviously be harmful to eat.
