What is this sound coming from upstairs neighbors? answers

Interesting story ...

Few days ago this strange noise has been coming from upstairs neighbors. It ALWAYS starts at 23.50, very close to midnight and stops usually at the morning at 08.00. At this weekend it has gone NON STOP FOR almost 36 hours and still going strong! I have a theory, that since the electricity is cheaper at night tax and the sound is starting at night, 23.50, and ends at 08.00 at the morning when the night tax is in effect. Maybe they are using some sort of electrical device to get cheaper electricity price?

Some think, that it is a washing machine. But have you seen a washing machine that goes 36+ hours straight in centrifuge mode? So I don't think it is a washing machine.

Some think, that it is a refrigerator. Maybe, but who the hell uses a classic fridge at night only and how the hell does it make that noise?

I thought that it might be a deep freeze refrigerator. Those ones usually can be set to work at night to maintain cold temperature and only use cheap electricity. But why does it work 36+ hours straight now?

Nobody knows 100%!

NB1! Already contacted the apartments union leading member and will check it out with him, hopefully tomorrow. NB2! Why won't I just go and knock on the door and ask what's going on? CAN'T, cuz all the stairwells are locked.
