Me: 32/M. Just moved back to California from NYC. I am a hardworking person with a lot of creative hobbies. I work at Apple in video and print, so I’ll be commuting there a lot, but when I’m home I do enjoy being home. I’ll be living in the downstairs in the smaller bedroom, and with a larger shared room that includes the laundry and opens to the backyard. There’s a small shed in the backyard I use as an art studio, where I also sometimes make furniture. So I dream about filling this house with furniture I made myself. I like the occasional dinner party or barbecue but mostly when I’m home I’m using it as a creative space in often fairly solitary crafts. I value respect and consideration above most all else.
Your Room: A huge 11ft x 16ft room with gorgeous windows and tons of natural light. The room has it’s original 1936 restored hardwood flooring and two huge closets. Big enough for any size bed and a desk, at least.
Next door to your room there is an equally impressive 11ft x 14ft living room, with an arched entryway directly across from a chef’s kitchen. All the windows are new, double insulated and easy to clean. These make the house very stable to temperature and drop dead quiet.
Across the hall is your bathroom, with a modern sink and vintage shower & tub, and ample closets and space. Vintage tiling throughout.
The upstairs chef kitchen has a vintage 6 range natural gas stove and oven with a hood, a kitchen island with a live edge slab top and top of the line bosch dishwasher, as well as a commercial refrigerator. Completing the 1930’s charm is a walk in pantry, the original tiling and a breakfast nook for a table and chairs. This opens to the deck.
Large backyard for SF with a beautiful deck and a horizon view. The backyard has rosemary bushes & fruit trees in bloom, and will be professionally gardened, though minimal yard maintenance is required.
There is a garage but it’s only for storage, which is shared. Street parking is excellent, and it is a ten minute walk to the BART, so easy access to the city, the airport, or the bay area without a car. If you commute to silicon valley, it’s a very easy commute with quick access to 101/280 and the commuter shuttles.
Rent: $2450/month plus split utilities Security deposit: 1 month’s rent.
