[Gear] Craigslist Gear Collection! Guitar

http://ift.tt/2tO0Nvg

Everything in this picture I found on Craigslist at a great price (besides the cat):

Tone King Imperial MK ii amp - Purchased brand new from an unclaimed freight collecting agency at a little over half the price of a brand new one. Literally was sitting in a warehouse next to a bunch of refrigerators and home appliances. Lol.

2016 Fender SRV - I just replaced the original pickguard with a regular black one loaded with Lollar Blondes today to see how much closer I can get to the tone I want. I'm a big John Mayer fan and couldn't stand the original Texas Specials.

2016 DiPinto Galaxie 4 - I lied, this wasn't off Craigslist but actually from DiPinto's Guitars in Philly. It's the 5th one made in the US and is actually the exact one demoed at NAMM 2017 on youtube. Received a big discount due to a ding on the back. Kind of an impulse buy since I just wanted a really nice offset.

2000 PRS Custom 22 - I play this the least and am thinking about selling to try a Les Paul. Though I probably wouldn't play that that much either since the time I do have I spend playing the strat and Martin. I wanted a humbucking guitar to learn Phish songs, among other things.

1993 Martin "Custom 15" (HD-28V) - Apparently these were originally popoular custom orders before the HD-28V became a standard model. It also has a hard V neck. This beats any new Martin I've played in guitar shops, it's perfectly aged and sounds incredible for bluegrass with medium gauge strings.

2012 MusicMan Stingray Classic - I sold my Fleabass a few years ago for a pedal board and had always dreamed of owning a Stingray. Luckily found this powder blue one for a steal.

Some background: I'm a 25 year old young business professional and have played for about 12 years. I decided watching my savings account grow was boring and decided to invest in used gear to not only make some extra cash flipping stuff, but also to get my hands on and spend time with nice gear to see if they're really worth it. I've been pretty successful so far - I've made about $3000 off of other deals that went into funding the stuff in the picture and have a much better idea of how different builds/specs affect my playing. Having a high paying job is great to be able to afford all of this, but now I just daydream all day at work waiting to get home :(.

Main musical tastes: John Mayer, SRV, Julian Lage/Chris Eldridge, Phish, Avett Brothers, This Will Destroy You, Explosions in the Sky, John Frusciante/Red Hot Chili Peppers.
