The model is a whirlpool ER8GHKXMS03. Top freezer bottom fridge.
At this point the heat from the light bulb in the fridge section is greater than the "cool" air running from the freezer.
Doesn't seem to have a defrost switch to turn, but does have a defrost motherboard circuit. I checked the back evaporator behind the freezer panel, no sign of frost anywhere so don't think its a defrost problem. The evaporator coils are cold to the touch.
The evaporator fan is running smoothly its just that the air isn't cold enough. I have the setting set on max too for a day nothing changed. Compressor feels hot to the touch if i leave my hand on it tho.
I have unplugged and turned off the fridge and returned it on (restarting) and still not cold.
There is no dust on the rear condenser coils on the back of fridge.
Any advice would be appreciated, was wondering if it will by more costly to have a technician come check and repair or just buy a new one.
