New to hunting, have a couple questions Hunting

I'm getting ready to go hunting for the first time soon, and there have been a couple things I've always wondered about. First off, I'm looking to go hunting for upland game (quail, rabbit, and the like). Should I find and shoot a rabbit, what do I do with it? I know take it home, skin it, put it in the refrigerator, season, cook & eat, but right after I shoot it, do I pick it up and carry it around with me while I continue to hunt, throw it in a cooler for the drive home, or hang it up somewhere inconspicuous on the field? Second, where do I park? I'm in Reno. Do I just find what seams like an out of the way place to leave my vehicle and walk away, or something completely different? My last question, is there any particular way to know where hunting land begins and ends? I greatly appreciate the help, and if anyone within a couple hours of the Reno area wouldn't mind lending me a hand, that would be wonderful. If there is anything else i should probably know but might not, please share it.
