ProTip: Don't put your hay in the freezer RimWorld

It only just dawned on me, hay goes off after around 80 days. That's 8 months. If you're in a temperate climate then a few of those months will be sub zero. That's enough to keep a years worth of feed available.

Also, if you are using pastures, then restrict your herd so they can't get at the feed during the summer months.

Granted this won't work if you are battery farming but small/medium farming should be fine.

Essentially hay has been set up to be like the real world, you don't see real farms with huge refrigerators so why do we?
