My refrigerator sometimes stops getting cold. This happens after I put something warm in the refrigerator. It will be cold, I will put something warm in it, say, something I recently cooked, and the next day, the items in the fridge are noticeably warmer. To fix it, I turn off and empty the freezer, let a space heater blow into it for about 8 hours, then turn it back on. Then the fridge will get cold again. What could be the issue? My research suggests the defrost control board or the defrost timer may be defective, but I'm not sure.
