I'm a pilot with an airline in the U.S. One thing crews have always seemed to struggle with is packing good food for the trips. Most of my trips tend to be 4 to 5 days away from home. It's often difficult keeping food items refrigerated since many hotels don't offer refrigerators in the rooms and there is no refrigeration in the aircraft. I'm curious what ideas folks might have for packing more than just nuts/berries/chips. I can't eat like a rabbit for 4-5 days, but hate blowing money on disgusting airport/hotel food. Any ideas, recipes, preparations, or thoughts are appreciated. I've experimented with a lot over the past decade, but would love some fresh ideas. Thank you!
