Figidaire refrigerator, about 5 years old, with bottom freezer.
The freezer is cold, the refrigerator part is almost room temperature. Everything seems to be working just fine though
I understand that a fan blows air past the coils in the freezer, then through a damper, then into the fridge. In my case, there is a plastic/styrofoam channel that runs from the top of the fridge down to the motorized baffle, then into the freezer. The fan in the freezer blows air into the freezer, sucking it down through this channel. The cold air rises through 2 holes in the back corners from the freezer into the fridge due to the pressure difference created by the fan.
Fan is working, baffle is open, the bottom 1/3 of the coils had quite a bit of frost, so i melted that off with a hair dryer.
I really don't see anything broken here, yet it's not working. Any suggestions?
