So I have a mutant mushroom on one of my cakes. All the others have golden caps and yet this one is all white. I don't have the resources to do agar work for cloning. If i make a liquid culture and put a piece of the mushroom inside the jar would it be an exact clone of its genetics or would i need agar to isolate the exact mushroom. Also I am unable to store the culture inside a refrigerator after full colonization. How long do they stay viable at room temperature? Ive made a honey LC before but moved before I could inoculate with it so i just threw it out.
