TL;DR; My boyfriend is an extreme clean freak. This causes continuous arguments. Has anyone dealt with this or is a clean freak? relationships

TL;DR; I'm a single mom. I have a job that requires over the normal 40 hours a week. I have a fairly large house with a yard (so yard work), 2 kiddos under 8, a cat, and a small dog.

My bf has a townhouse (so no yard work), no kids, a husky, and a continuous need to clean and work (sometimes as late as 1 am in the morning).

We recently got into an argument where he said there was food on my walls (never noticed) , my refrigerator was dirty, and he didn't know if he could handle my messy kids. ..he took it all back later, but I have an uneasy feeling about or future. This really hurt my feelings.

Can you tell me if you have been in a situation like this and if there is any chance this relationship can work?

I'm 40 he's 33. We've been together 2 yrs.
