Hello all!
I am in an awkward situation. I live with two room mates. One room mate takes up about 90% of the storage space in the kitchen. Therefore I have extremely little space to store food. Here is what I have access to:
- Approximately 1/5 of the freezer space, I can fit in small boxes
- One half of one shelf in the refrigerator (but the 90% room mate will also use my shelf for storage, and this further limits how much food I can store)
- A 1x3 foot table where I keep my dry food
There is no where else to store food, I have tried to find places. I just want to move on and adapt my diet.
Unfortunately I have a pretty rampant ED, and in the process of recovery I am realizing that I am trying to rely too much on access to refrigerated foods, which I can't store in this house.
Therefore I'm trying to cut out most refrigerated foods, simply because I can't store them here. Unfortunately I am not familiar with good sources of non-refrigerated/frozen protein, I am used to eating animal protein a lot.
Can anyone help with good, nutritious, high-calorie sources of protein you don't have to refrigerate? Due to my ED I eat very little food overall so when I do eat I try to consume the most calorie-dense foods possible.
