Last night I woke up in front of my refrigerator door open and bread in my mouth. It seems like I was sleep eating. It seems like I have been doing this for the past few nights where I would wake up and just eat food then head back to bed. I just happened to wake up this time.
I am curious if anyone can shed some light to this. I went from 180 lbs to 170 in about 5 weeks and I decided to do a leangains cut where I eat at maintenance (~2700) on workout days and below maintenance (~1800) on rest days. Since my gym is moving to a new location I have been on a 4 day rest streak and last night I went to the gym late at night and went hard. I already ate my 2700 cal earlier in the day so I did not eat after workout. Just a whey/BCAAs shake.
Another particular thing was that I was just eating carbs. Cornuts, english muffins, chips. I think I did drink some milk and I did eat some sliced turkey but I just remember seeing most of the Cornuts and muffins gone.
So I am curious what my issue is. Was it because my body was adjusting to a new diet, I have been on a rest day streak, or I was not getting enough carbs? It could be stress with a new semester starting, but I have been pretty chill. Any ideas?
