A few tips if you have a multi-story house! From 6 months out with twins. BabyBumps

My twins will be six months old next week (where did the time go?!) and I wanted to post some advice for parents with multi-story houses because we accidentally made some fantastic purchases. First and foremost, baby tax: http://ift.tt/2vyoLaq

Onto advice. While I was pregnant I decided we needed a mini fridge because I was tired of going downstairs for drinks. We bought this one: http://ift.tt/2vgA8s7

Which is actually pretty large and holds a ton. We store drinks in it for us and formula for the girls. We make two Dr. Brown's pitchers a day and stick them in there and we're good to go. It was also great while I was pumping. We kept pump milk in there, and I could stick the pump parts in a gallon bag and leave them in the fridge for 24 hours in between use.

If you formula feed: Plenty of people don't, but if you decide to follow the recommendation to make formula with hot water (powdered formula is not considered sterile so the recommendation to use hot water applies even if you use bottled water) having a water dispenser is amazing. We're all about having to do as little as possible. We bought this one from Costco: http://ift.tt/2vyaLNY

Dr. Brown's pitchers fit underneath it so we just fill with hot water, mix our formula, and stick it upstairs in the fridge.

We store bottles in our master bedroom: http://ift.tt/2vggoVC

And we wash bottles in the master bath as well. We tried the dishwasher but actual soap was pretty consistently left on the bottles so we ditched that idea. I'm not exceptionally cautious but I do draw the line at feeding the babies dishwasher detergent. So we've designated one sink in the master bathroom for bottles only and we dry them on Boon Lawns that we've put on an Ikea utility cart: http://ift.tt/2vyBHx3

People with only one baby will probably need way less drying space.
