cleaning up silicone lube sex

this isn't a particularly exciting post, but i do really need help.

over the last few months, i've used a LOT of silicone lube with a partner. it seems to be the best tool for the job, and now i can't imagine using anything else. BUT... now everything in my home is a little slippery. i've never had this problem with water-based lubes, they left no trace. but it seems that you can't touch a single thing without coating it in silicone lube. need water? now every door handle, light switch, refrigerator handle, sink, glass, is covered in lube... wtf!

hindsight is 20/20 and i've realized i should thoroughly clean hands before touching ANYTHING, but is there any good way to clean silicone lube off of stuff? i have so much damage to undo... wiping it down doesn't seem to work. i think isopropyl alcohol made a difference, but i feel like a maniac running around cleaning things with rubbing alcohol (though i'll do it if that's what it takes).

any advice is appreciated!
