It was 6:23 AM, and Norman was preparing his breakfast before work. After placing his two slices of whole wheat bread in the toaster, Norman placed a plate and butter knife on the counter, then reached into his refrigerator for the tub of margarine. His stomach dropped as he felt how light the container was. "Oh dear," Norman thought, "I must be out of margarine." He opened the empty container to confirm his worries, then set it down near the sink. Norman neatly added "MARGARINE" to his grocery list on the counter.
