I went to clean out the dust on my refrigerator's coils today and when I opened up the back side of it I noticed a buildup of what looks like battery corrosion on the tank/relay back there. The fridge is about 15 years old, not sure exactly, it came with the house I purchased last March. It runs fine otherwise, no odd noises, stays nice and cold, etc.
Any idea what this is and if I need to worry?
