Been in my house for a year and a half. Everything I. The kitchen was running fine this whole time. Okay, about a month and a half ago our fridge went out. First thing I do is go check the breaker. Nothing was flipped.
So I try plugging the fridge up to a different outlet. Turned right back on.
No current coming through the outlet. Took the outlet off. Tested the wiring for juice and there was plenty of current coming through the wall but not through the outlet. So, burned out outlet it was. Replaced it on a Friday night.
Sunday around lunch time, fridge goes out again. Same problem. Outlet is burned out. Juice coming through wiring but not through outlet. So, I replace outlet again. Everything goes back to working fine.
About three days ago the fridge goes out again. Same thing, plug it into a different receptacle and it fires right back up. I am using an extension cord when I do this though but I kind of want to see if the fridge burns a different outlet out. The circuit breaker the fridge runs off of is a 20 amp I believe. I understand most run on a 15 I think?
Anyway, let me know if you have any thoughts or any questions and I'll be happy to add info, thanks.
