I have a Kenmore side-by-side. It makes ice, but when I push the pedal on the front, ice does not drop down even though it makes a whirring noise and the flap that contains the ice releases. When I empty the ice bin to get to the auger, the auger is capable of spinning when I manually turn it.
Any suggestions on what the issue is? My guess is it's the motor, but the whirring noise throws me off. And is the motor something a novice would be able to replace? TIA!
