Did I break the law? What are my rights? legaladvice

Ok. I have two different problems.

So I bought a bar using an asset purchase agreement. Before the close of the sale, I was managing some aspects of the bar (scheduling) and bartending part time. Their state liquor permit was up for renewal, so I used my credit card to pay for their renewal. I also entered in to an agreement with the land lord prior to the close of the deal. My concern is the video poker in the establishment. I did not meet state suitability requirements before doing these things. After hearing that I was going with another gaming company, the previous company pulled their machines. After the close of the deal, I closed shop, and have been waiting for the state and parish (Louisiana) to issue my permits. ATC has issued their permit to me. I pick the Parish permits u Monday. I'm in the process of meeting state gaming suitability requirements now. Having gone through the process of meeting these requirements, I've learned a ton! I understand that ignorance isn't an excuse for the law. I now understand that I should have been much more careful in purchasing my first bar. I listened to the previous owner who said it was ok. Now, I'm not sure that it is.

The second problem is that 45 days after the close, the previous owner is now trying to remove a refrigerator from the property. Unfortunately, that cooler wasn't specifically called out in the asset list like it should have been. It is obviously is an asset that is specifically used in the operation of the bar. Do I have any right to it? This is the first time I've heard from the previous owner since the close. I feel like she's taking advantage of my mistake.

Furthermore, if I did commit a crime, I'm afraid she may try to blackmail me. I understand that she would old also be implicating herself as well, but I'm more worried about myself.

What should I do? I've solicited some family to help me find a reputable lawyer, but in the mean time, what should I do regarding the previous owner and that damn cooler? If I did break the law, how do I proceed? This is my livelihood at risk.
