So I've had something of a recurring problem. I make a lot of rice and bean dishes with some other veggies. It's easy and there are almost always leftovers. However after about a week in the refrigerator I find what seems to be a maggot or two in the container and toss everything out. What's bizarre is I never notice them until I'm eating (yuck) and neither I nor my roommate eat meat or have noticed any flies.
Any advice as to preventing this in the future? I already try not to leave my food uncovered and unattended.
