For the coming summer, I am looking for a good recipe brewing iced hoijcha. In the web I found very different ways preparing it. For example:
1.) "Put tea leaves into a teapot or tea infuser, doubling the amount of leaves you would normally use. Steep with boiled water for about a minute. Pour the tea into a container filled with Ice. The rapid cooling locks in the aroma. Relax and enjoy the best iced tea you have ever tasted." (source: http://ift.tt/1SIOUao )
2.) with spearmint: "3 cups water, boiled; 3 tablespoons Hojicha tea; 1/2 bundle fresh mint. Wash the mint leaves. Put the mint and Hojicha in a bowl or pot and pour the boiling water over it. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. Strain off the mint and Hojicha and transfer the liquid to the freezer or refrigerator. Once it’s chilled, serve. Also, if you want to get a frothy head, just blend the tea for a few seconds before serving." (source: http://ift.tt/1qNRdmG )
Etc.
Some write to boil the tea and then to cool it down. Others write to put the leaves in cold water or even directly on melting ice. Anyone out there with an good recipe?
