Ice maker dead - are there better aftermarket ones I could replace it with? appliancerepair

I have this fridge -

I go through a TON of ice - and love crushed type ice. The icemaker that comes with the fridge finally gave in. A new OEM one is only $40 and easy enough to replace. However, are there aftermarket type ice-makers that would be better I could install in the freezer instead? I wouldn't even know where to look for something like this.
