Im an apprentice in local 469 (plumbers, pipefitters, steamfitters and sprinklerfitters.... Sorry refrigerators, you haven't made it to the stickers yet... Refrigeration techs for those out of the loop). So back to the title, do/did you support the casino in glendale off loop 101 and northern? Why or why not?
I ask because I actually went to the city council meeting pertaining to it and it was eye opening... Mayor Jerry weiers was complaining about having to leave his Canadian vacation home to do his job. Sam Chavira was the guy banging his fists on the table fighting for the economic growth of Glendale and get this shit done. The original Casino plan was proposed in 2009 and was shut down. Since then we have had two Super Bowls neither of which the convention has happened in Glendale. It happened in downtown Phoenix and Glendale saw next to nothing for Revenue. If you are a Glendale resident, that cares for economic growth vote against Jerry and for Sammy
