What to do with a whole top sirloin? AskCulinary

Hi, I bought a whole top sirloin today at the grocery store and I don't think I knew what I was getting into with the size of this thing! I have a few questions:

  1. Since there's so much meat, I was hoping to serve it on the 23rd when I'm having a family get-together. Is this possible? Can I keep the meat in the refrigerator unopened for almost 2 weeks?

  2. Can/should I freeze it? What is the protocol for letting it thaw? It weighs 15lbs.

  3. How many people will this feed? I am trying to decide if I need to buy more protein for the party (I might buy some anyway and just have leftovers).

  4. Any recipe ideas? I was planning to do a Venezuelan style roast beef, but I am open to anything. I love cooking and trying new things, but it has to be "normal" enough for a variety of people.
