You need to trust your customers better TalesFromRetail

So I work at a retail store which also has a Coke refrigerator. I ringed this customer up with product and he had a diet coke witch he put on the counter half empty. I asked him if he paid for it and he said "no". Then I ringed up the coke and then he asked "why did i ring it up" then i said you said you didn't buy it here. He was arguing about it so I took the coke off and we were still arguing about it. Then he said "you need to trust your customers better"

I really wanted to say "Listen you jackass if i "didn't trust my customers" I would of put up with an argument over it and you said that to me. How about I deny your whole purchase and make you leave." Obviously I couldn't say that but you know how bad i wanted to.

I just needed to get this story off my chest while it's fresh off my mind.
