One day, Norman decided to get his mail. He put on his bathrobe, walked out to the mailbox, and opened it up. It was a plain, standard metal mailbox. He reached in, got the mail, and returned to his house. He sat down to go through the mail. He scrutinized each bill carefully for mistakes, and after long and careful calculations he discovered an error of $0.11 in his electric bill. He picked up his day planner and made a note to write them a letter asking for a refund check or credit on his next bill. He was then delighted to discover a Christmas card from his oil company, wishing him happy holidays and thanking him for being a customer. His name was even printed nicely on the inside in a pleasant cursive font. He put it on the refrigerator, using one of the good magnets. Then he sat down to read the advertising circular and all its inserts. He found a coupon for 40 cents off his favorite brand of oatmeal. He put it in his wallet for his next trip to the store.
