I'm looking for a roommate, preferably male, to move into my apartment starting November 1. Rent is $1250 + utilities. This is a BIG room that comes with a private bathroom. Apartment has a huge living room as well with an outside patio. Parking is free and assigned in the gated garage. Apartment building is new - only 1.5 years old - and located conveniently close to the freeways and public transportation.
Here's a little bit about myself: Current full-time MBA student. I lived in Boston for 5 years managing a data analytics product in philanthropy and education. I've lived in a few countries and speak a few languages.
I have a busy regular school schedule that runs from 7AM until somewhere between 5PM and 9PM daily. Outside of school, I stay active. I row for Los Angeles Rowing Club. I enjoy running, yoga, hiking, and surfing. On the weekends, I get social and hang out with classmates and friends. I enjoy hosting people and have people over to hang out a few times a month. I also cook a lot so you'll see some serious action in the kitchen. I make some good pho, chicken masala, and paella.
I'm a laid-back, social, and responsible person who enjoys hanging out with people that share similar values. Having a sociable and responsible roommate is important to me. Given my schedule, we probably won't see each other that often in the apartment but I'd like to establish a great long-term roommate relationship.
As a former Airbnb host, I have high standards of cleanliness. I keep the common space neat and tidy and would have similar expectations for roommate. We all have busy schedules and certain things can't be taken care of right away, but dishes should not sit in the sink for more than a day and trash should be taken away when it's the right time. Also, you don't need to have a baller job but ability to pay rent on time is highly appreciated. No short-term stay, sorry.
