Help Replacing an Awkwardly Located Fridge HomeImprovement

Hello, friends. I am hoping to sell my house in the Minneapolis, MN sometime next year, and my realtor recommended that I update the appliances in my kitchen. Makes sense to me, but the fridge is a problem.

Here are some pictures: http://ift.tt/2u0LMa8

The location of the fridge was spectacularly poorly planned. The fridge is recessed into an area with cabinets on the left, a wall to the right, and a cabinet above. The maximum height of any replacement is 67", and the maximum width is 33.5".

The depth problem is even worse. Due to bad planning by whoever designed this kitchen, the oven is set into a corner very near the fridge. Currently it is possible to open the oven only when the refrigerator door is opened, and there is about 1/8" of clearance in that situation. Realistically, I think this means that the maximum "depth without door" of any replacement is 26 3/8", and the fridge probably has to be a single door with the handle on the left side.

I have been searching and searching for a solution to this problem and I don't know what to do. The primary problem is the depth - there are very few standard fridges with a depth this small. A counter depth fridge would solve the depth problem, but most are 36" wide and would not fit into the opening where this fridge is. I've found one, single counter depth fridge on the market with a width of 33", but it is 70" tall - which is too tall to fit under the cabinet. It's also a french door, and I don't know if the doors will be able to open correctly given the cabinet on the left side and the wall on the right side.

I have been thinking about this for weeks, and would really appreciate any advice. I see only three potential solutions. First, I find the perfect fridge that will still allow the oven to open.

Second, I try to remove the cabinets above the fridge and buy the tall, counter-depth fridge, and hope the french doors work okay. This looks challenging to me because the cabinet above the fridge appears to be a single piece connected to other cabinets that run to the left.

Third, I give up and put a new fridge somewhere else in the room. This would leave an awkward, fridge sized space where the old one was, and would require me to run new electrical outlets and remove wainscoting from a different part of the kitchen.

I'm getting stressed out just typing this out. Thanks so much for reading this all the way through, and for any advice you have for me!
